Art on the Sofa

Who says that art is only meant to hang on your wall or stand on a pedestal? Contemporary art can be functional too, and even as it is used daily within the home, it constantly communicates the unique vision of the artist.

BirdKiller 'Love Bomb' Cushion
The BirdKiller series combines several influences that have personally been relevant to my art-making process. With a love for other playful materials, apart from glass, such as textured paper, fabrics and wood, this body of work grew out of my experimentation with the use of screen-printing techniques based on iconic objects, symbols and my passion for tattoos.

BirdKiller 'Murder of Crows' Cushion
The pieces are designed with a tongue-in-cheek approach to create bespoke interior surfaces and objects that crosses the boundary between art and design.

BirdKiller 'sNoose' Cushion
Each limited edition piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or queries by email or via my website

Handmade: BirdKiller Series

With a love for other playful materials, such as: textured paper and fabrics, I incorporate traditional screen-printing technique to produce bespoke wallpapers and fabrics, that crosses the boundary between art and design.

BirdKiller series is inspired by iconic objects and a passion for tattoos designed with a tongue-in-cheek approach to create tailored interior surfaces and objects.

Geoffrey of St Art Gallery is having a well-deserved rest before tidying up the stand...

Section of the stand with Charles Krafft, K-Guy and GonnyGlass

Marloes showing off my pink knuckledusters 'Love & Hate' - I think she looks really cute with them.

'Grillig Glas' - ('Unpredictable Glass')

Gonny's work doesn't fit in the traditional glass gallery, but can't be found in the street either. Yet, her work is a refence to the urban environment. "In the world of Urban and Street Art glass art is totally new. People are very surprised that the objects are made of real glass and want to touch it. That is totally fine! Glass is a fragile material, though it is a powerful statement. This tension between power and fragility makes glass so special to work with."
